Black Perspective About Obama… Courting the Latino Vote

Black people must wake up to the US electoral process! Obama is the President of these United States.  Our Latino brothers are represented by a leadership that is cohesive on social issues that affect their group overall standing within this society. You can not blame them for being effective in their political maneuvering and apparent success in the American society. Obama cannot be totally blamed for the lack of political action directly concerning Black American’s as a group in the society. Politically it is wise of him to court Latino votes for his re-election, seeing their numbers are growing and out pacing Black American numbers in the society, especially in key states where GOP political hardballers are taxing immigration legislation that will reduce Latino “projected,” future demographics in this country.

If you recall Obama’s past visit to the Black Caucus, his remarks or marching orders to the BC was… “To take off their house slippers and put on their work boots.” Meaning (My take on what he said), Get out of bed with the system that is oppressing Black people and go back to work fighting for our/Black Americans just due within the frame-work of the American political system on Capitol Hill.

DID THE BC DO IT? NO! They publicly complained like little children. AND HAVE DONE NOTHING, OR PRESENTED LEGISLATION TO OBAMA ON BEHALF OF BLACK AMERICANS… “AS USUAL TO DATE.”

Where is the Black agenda put forth to the Obama Administration or earlier White House administrations? Black leadership in this country are divided, like-wise is the American Black community. So-called Black leadership sells out the masses of Black citizens for personal standing and gain within the American society and have done so since the Jim Crow era.

Divisiveness is the hurdle we have yet to clear TOWARDS UNITY AS A PEOPLE and poor political representation in the American society which lacks cultural loyalty, have no group vision, and cannot agree on from whence we/they came to this point in the history of the America’s.
